The Sentry-go Quick File Monitor allows you to quickly & easily monitor changes made to both local and remote File s, the contents of those File s, directory changes & structure modifications, entries written to local Event Logs. If problems are detected, it can either take automatic action, or alert you before end-users are affected. Using it's in- built web-based reporting, you also have immediate access to monitored information direct from your web browser. Monitoring Features: The availability of local or remote File s or directories; Check the overall size of a File , some or File s all File s or directories/sub-directories; Be alerted when a File is updated within a given timeframe, or when no changes are made to a File - ideal to ensure File s are being processed in a timely manner; Monitor for changes to the underlying directory structure - new File s being added to or File s being removed from a directory or subdirectories; Monitor errors written to the Windows Event Logs based on error type, event ID, source or keywords & phrases within the text; In addition to Event Logs, you can also monitor the entries written to text-based log File s such as those used for custom applications, based on keywords or phrases within the text. Respond Automatically or Alert: Respond automatically by running a command, application, batch File or script; Automatically restart a failed Windows Service or reboot the server; Alert via network messaging, standard or custom e-mails; Alert via the Quick Monitor Console; Alert via your SMS pager gateway provider Interface with external systems via SMTP, HTTP, or scripting; Log details to a SysLog Server, database or text file. The built-in web server provides access to both recent alerts & the current monitoring status. Configuration changes can be made using the easy-to-use Configuration Utility or centrally via the the Quick Monitor Console which is also included.
