MICR Font Set
 | Want to print your own checks on your laser printer from Windows? The bottom sequence of numbers on a check must be printed in a special font called MICR or E-13B. This font includes the numbers 0 through 9 and four special characters: On-Us, Transit, Amount, and Dash.
MICR printing can be done on any laser printer, provided you purchase a special magnetic toner cartridges for it. Note that MICR printing must be exceedingly accurate. FontReview
 | FontReview is an exciting new font viewing tool for Windows 9x/Me/NT4/2000. FontReview hooks into the Windows Explorer interface and lets you quickly and easily view both installed and uninstalled TrueType fonts.
With FontReview installed, simply double click a TrueType file to see exactly what the font looks like. FontReview integrates smoothly with the Windows Explorer. (see picture, left) Right clicking on the TrueType file displays a menu with options to view, print or install the font. FontReview can print three professional looking sample sheets and a character set chart for any TrueType font.
FontReview also distinguishes between TrueType and OpenType fonts. If an OpenType font is detected, it is displayed with the signature O icon. This O icon is also used by Windows 2000 to designate OpenType fonts.

FontMap
 | FontMap may be used to view and print both installed and external fonts; it can display a variety of tables, individual characters, a keyboard view, font description, or whatever text you wish to enter. Individual characters can be displayed in a "full-screen" view and custom table parameters can be set to "zoom" in on a selected portion of a font. National character sets and unicode characters available for a font may also be displayed.
For an individual font most all of the views that are displayed can be printed - tables, text, keyboard view, font description, and installation or national character set information. Multiple fonts can be printed in either a brief or "verbose" format. If you have a CD (or whatever) with a bunch of fonts on it, you can easily print a sample of all the fonts it contains without needing to install them.
