8 smart-phone in South Korea have reached 1 million units in a little over a month`s time behind the device hit local shelves, industry data showed on Thursday.The South Korean tech giant get started official sales of the 6.3-inch phablet on Sep. 21, selling 850,000 units through pre-orders, which kicked off a week earlier, Yonhap news agency reported.
The figure eclipsed numbers for the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, which managed to draw in 380,000 pre-orders.
Samsung told it also plans to add the gold-colour edition (in South Korea) to the Galaxy Note 8 products starting on Friday, which is currently available in Black, Blue, and Grey in the country.
