Huawei`s Ascend Mate 2 to feature higher-res screen & better specsNovember 25, 2013, 4:41 pm One of the manufacturers which have entered the phablet-game, is the Chinese Huawei with its Ascend Mate phablet. Even though many have praised the phablet as one of the best currently available, in the cut-throat competition of the smartphone market, the Ascend Mate starts to show its "age", so mamma-Huawei is working on its successor, which most probably will be called the Ascend Mate 2. According to leaks online, the Ascend Mate 2 will pack a 6.1-inch display similar to the current version but with a higher, Full HD 1920 by 1080 resolution. As Huawei News reports, the Ascend Mate 2 will feature a 1.6GHz, quad-core Kirin 910 processor, augmented by 2GB of RAM, and will have 16GB of built-in storage. The device will initially run Android 4.2.2 while an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade could become available shortly after. At this point the next Ascend Mate 2 is not officially announced by Huawei, so we can`t be really sure of its final specs, but the rumors seem just about right to us. |
